We are looking for a Head of Biogas Operations to our partner who operates the largest single-site bioethanol plant in Europe.

Your new role

The Head of Biogas Operations will be responsible for leading the biogas business. The new colleague will ensure the operation of the AD plants and will lead troubleshooting of technical issues to minimise downtime. They will be responsible for maintaining contact with relevant authorities, grid operators, and distributors. As the Head of Biogas Operations will be responsible for the Hungarian, Irish, and Slovenian AD plants, the applicant must be willing to travel to visit these sites. This role will report directly to the Engineering & Technology Manager.

What you need to succeed

• A master's degree in biotechnology (or similar) is preferable. Applicants with education in other technical subjects such as engineering will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leading role in the anaerobic digestion industry
• Deep knowledge of the biogas value chain - experience in digestate treatment and biogas upgrading
• Proven leadership track record, capable of building teams to achieve a common objective.
• Fluent in English
