Our multinational partner is looking for a Senior Tax Technology Specialist to be a part of their European Finance Operation team in Budapest.

The main purpose of this role is to drive VAT process standardization project and implementing new digital tax solutions, which are the main strategic initiatives of the Indirect Tax Team.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Support project team in the implementation of new license to operate requirements mainly in requirement collection phase and user acceptance testing
• Act as first point of contact of VAT reporting tool and maintain it by driving content updates on a regular basis and implement changes requested by the Indirect Tax Operation Team
• Cooperate with the Indirect Tax Operation Team in data and system improvement
• Perform root cause analysis of complex issues, work out the design of possible solutions
• Coaching Junior/Senior team members

Ideal candidate

• 4+ years of experience in similar roles
• Solid knowledge of indirect taxes (VAT)
• Expertise in SAP
• Strong Excel and data analytics skill set (VBA skill is an advantage)
• Good understanding of end-to-end business processes
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Self-motivated personality with proactive attitude to learn new skills and understand the business
